Three small steps. You’re all set.
- 01
Choose your photos
Select HEIC or HEIF files from your device. Start with a small batch when working with large photos.
- 02
Set JPG quality
JPG is selected. Start with higher quality, then adjust quality or dimensions if you need a smaller file.
- 03
Check and download
Review orientation, appearance and actual file size. Save the results and keep your originals.
Ready for a JPG-only upload
Use a JPG copy when a form or editor does not accept HEIC. Check its pixel and file-size limits too: changing format alone does not satisfy every upload requirement.
Keep your original photo
The output is a still image, not a Live Photo. Original HDR, depth information, camera metadata and color characteristics are not guaranteed to survive conversion.
Convert on your device
Selected images are processed in this browser, on your device. Files are not uploaded to a conversion server. This version has no remote analytics.
Can I convert HEIF files too?
Yes. This page accepts HEIC and HEIF. Specific encoding features or damaged files may prevent decoding. The tool reports failures rather than just renaming the extension.
Will the JPG be smaller?
Not necessarily. Dimensions, detail and quality affect size. Check the actual result, or use the compression page for a specific size target.
Does conversion reduce quality?
JPG export re-encodes the image. Lower quality can lose more detail, and a high quality setting still does not preserve all original file data.
Why did a photo fail?
Damage, unsupported encoding or limited device memory can cause failure. Check that the original opens, then try one file at a time. Renaming will not fix the encoding.
