Find your next image tool.
Three small steps. You’re all set.
- 01
Select a WebP
Add a file saved on your device. This tool reads local files, not remote image links.
- 02
Choose quality and background
JPG cannot store transparency. Choose a background for transparent areas and check the edges.
- 03
Save a still image
Review the JPG. If animation is detected, confirm you only need a still frame before continuing.
Use a JPG where WebP is not accepted
A JPG copy can help with a document editor or submission form that does not accept WebP. Conversion changes encoding; it does not increase resolution or change your rights to use the image.
Transparent areas need a background
Logos and stickers can contain transparent pixels. JPG blends them with your background. To keep transparency for later editing, use WebP to PNG.
Animation support
When animated WebP, APNG or AVIF is detected, you must confirm before a single still frame is exported. Animation is not preserved. GIF is not supported.
Can I just rename .webp to .jpg?
No. Renaming does not change the encoding. ImageUnbox reads the image and creates an actual JPG output.
Why did transparency turn white?
JPG cannot store transparency. Those areas use the selected background. Choose another background or export PNG to retain transparency.
Will animated WebP keep moving?
No. Detected animation requires confirmation before a still frame is exported. This tool does not create an animated JPG or export all frames.
Will the file become smaller?
Not always. Your WebP may already be compact. Compare the output at your chosen dimensions and quality.
