Find your next image tool.
Three small steps. You’re all set.
- 01
Select JPG or JPEG
Both common extensions work here. Choose the files you want to export.
- 02
Confirm PNG and dimensions
Keep PNG selected and preserve the pixel dimensions unless you need a different size.
- 03
Save a PNG copy
Check the image and color, then download. Retain the original JPG for comparison.
Meet a PNG format requirement
Some asset workflows require PNG. Conversion resolves the file-type mismatch. If your only goal is a smaller photo, PNG may not help.
Conversion does not improve the source
Existing JPG artifacts, blur and missing detail remain. A white or colored background also remains unless separately edited.
Your photo stays local
Selected images are processed in this browser, on your device. Files are not uploaded to a conversion server. This version has no remote analytics.
Do JPG and JPEG need separate tools?
No. This page accepts both extensions and reads the actual image content.
Will PNG make the background transparent?
No. A JPG has no transparency, and conversion does not identify or remove its background.
Why is the PNG larger?
The formats encode images differently. Photos can take more space as PNG. Choose the format your next task requires.
Can I create a sharp, large image?
This tool converts and resizes; it does not provide AI upscaling. Increasing dimensions cannot create reliable new detail.
