LESS FUSS, MORE DONE

Three small steps. You’re all set.

  1. 01

    Check the original size

Add an image and note its pixel dimensions. Keep the destination’s requirements handy.

  2. 02

    Set your dimensions

Enter the size you need. Leave one side empty to keep proportions, or choose how the image fits a fixed width and height.

  3. 03

    Review the proportions

Check the actual dimensions. Inspect text and graphics at their final viewing size before saving.

Pixels and file size are different

Width and height measure pixel dimensions; KB measures storage size. Fewer pixels can help, but dimensions alone cannot predict the final file size.

Choose how the image fits

With both dimensions set, fit adds padding, fill crops the image to the target box, and stretch changes its proportions. Leave one dimension empty to preserve the original ratio. Check the result before saving.

Save a copy for the task

Keep the original and a resized version. This is standard resizing, not AI upscaling, and does not guarantee a platform will approve the image.

GOOD QUESTIONS

A few things
you might wonder.

Simple tools deserve clear answers.

Read the quick guide
Will smaller dimensions always make a smaller file?

Fewer pixels reduce the data to encode, but format and quality also matter. Check the actual output size.

Can this make a small image sharper?

Standard resizing cannot create reliable detail missing from the source. Enlargement may look blurry. AI upscaling is not included.

Does resizing remove backgrounds?

No. The whole image is resized. PNG can keep existing transparency but does not identify and remove a background.

What dimensions do I need for 200 KB?

There is no universal answer. Equal dimensions can produce different sizes. Use compression to set a target and check the output.
