A LITTLE CLARITY GOES A LONG WAY.

Your images are processed on your device

This explains the current version’s file handling. Conversion runs in your browser; selected images are not uploaded for server-side processing.

Image content and filenames

The application has no image-upload endpoint, cloud storage or remote-conversion fallback. Unreadable files produce an error. Local images do not become public pages or search-indexed results.

Opening a website uses the network

Your browser requests pages, scripts and static resources from the hosting service. The host may retain ordinary request logs for operation and troubleshooting. These are separate from uploading selected images.

Analytics, ads and accounts

This version has no remote behavior analytics, advertising scripts, accounts or cloud image history. Conversion records are not sent to an analytics service. Future integrations should have an updated explanation of their data handling.

Ending a session

Clear the list, refresh or close the page. Downloads remain on your device until you remove them. This does not promise to erase every cache or log managed by browsers, operating systems or hosting services.

Scope of this explanation

This describes the current ImageUnbox application. Extensions, operating systems, synced download folders and the hosting provider can have their own data handling. Update this page when hosting or integrations change.

LESS FUSS, MORE DONE

Three small steps. You’re all set.

  1. 01

    You choose the files

Only images you select or drag in enter this session. The page does not scan other photos on your device.

  2. 02

    Your browser converts them

Files are decoded and exported locally. Names are used for display and downloads, not sent to a conversion server.

  3. 03

    You save the results

Your browser handles downloads. Clear the list or close the page to end the session. Downloaded files remain under your control.

GOOD QUESTIONS

A few things
you might wonder.

Simple tools deserve clear answers.

Read the quick guide
Why use a website if files are not uploaded?

The browser downloads the program that runs the tool. That program processes selected images locally. Downloading the program is not uploading photos.

Is a failed conversion stored on a server?

The application does not send files to a conversion server, so this workflow creates no server-side image copies. Hosting access logs record separate website requests.

Can other visitors see my results?

No public result links, cloud gallery or shared storage are provided. Results remain in your browser until you download them to your device.

Will ads or analytics be added?

Neither is included now. If services are added, this explanation should be updated before the corresponding release.
